Narrative Description of the Project:
The project covered following objectives;
1. Baseline survey of targeted Union Councils
2. Formation and strengthening of CCBs and CBOs
3. Formation and strengthening of a CCB network (CCBN
4. Undertake low cost CCB projects
5. Supporting Female CCBs in Establishing Skill Development Centre
6. Skills and Enterprise Development Training
7. Establishment & Operationalization of CDF for Micro Enterprise Development
8. Creating Linkages Between Entrepreneurs & New Markets
9. Facilitation to CCBs in development and marketing their CDPs through organizing donor shops
10. Publishing of CCB Directory
11. Organizing an “Exposure Visit” for members of executive body of CCBN
12. Strengthening of Governance Resource Centre for networking, information sharing and capacity building of CCBs
13. Capacity building of government officials, elected representatives and devolution sub committees
14. Strengthening of Public Safety and Police Complaints Commissions/Union Public Safety Committees
15. Organizing ‘Open Forums’ in collaboration with public safety and police complaints commissions on public safety issues
16. Facilitate the establishment & working of Eminent Citizens Forum for advocacy on citizens’ rights and pro poor service delivery
17. Mapping of collection points, dumping sites and rout plans for TMA for improving solid waste management
18. Institutional capacity building of TMAs on environmental protection and solid waste management
19. Mobilization of communities for improved solid waste management through self-help basis
20. Supporting the CCBS in undertaking low cost projects for improving sanitation
